i miss brunei.i miss brunei.i miss brunei.yes. yes i do! well. on the briteside of everything, i have been completely and utterly spoilt. lots n lots of money spent on me. excellent!anndd! its my prom august 6th. :) i got my dress the other day! woop woop! it was another cheap one - $9, same price as last one!! :D but not nearly as nice...
urgh..i look so ugly there!! nz does not agree with my skin...well school starts on tuesday. and im moving into my boarding house on monday. im really nervous. my two worst fears:1. having an annoying roomie2. me being the annoying roomie.hehe...yes, well, simpsons is starting now, so ill be off! i miss you brunei!! and im back on september 19th i think! and if i dnt get to blog again, happy birthday jessjimmy <3(:<3
ode to brunei!!
Yeah…I love Brunei!! :( im really gonna miss it! I cant even emphasise how much I’ll miss it. Just everything about it is fantastic – the weather, the food, places to go, Ella, but most of all – the people. My friends. Lou, Ummi, Tai, Hana, Hannah, Jess, Charlie, Naz, and anyone else who has influenced my life in anyway possible. Brunei allowed me to meet people who I know will always be there for me, people I can meet up with in 20 years time and still gossip with, people have left a permanent impression on me. Everyone I’ve met in Brunei has taught me something, from Ummis failed attempts at getting me to speak malay, to saying absolutely anything, no matter how ridiculous in front of Lou (“ivabop!!”). Brunei has given me amazing opportunities; I got to see “CATS” live for gods sakes!! It has also allowed me to buy cheap DVDs ;), NOT get the dreaded New Zealand accent, but most importantly it’s made me more culturally aware. Hopefully my friends all know that I don’t judge people by appearance – pfft! Like I can judge – look at me!! I don’t just jump to someone’s side because they’re white. I pick my friends because of who they are – and I have to say that they’re all awesome! I have at least one great memory with absolutely everyone, “CHHRRSSKK!!! Jimmy?!?”, babbling on about mikey to Tai, and Charlie? You remember when we drew smiley boobs on that soapy picture on the mirror? Thanks to my friends. Thanks to ISB. Thanks to Brunei.
